January meeting

Hello everyone,
Here is a review of some of the things we discussed at the January meeting:

1. Sales
Help us develop a policy for selling things to our members at meetings and on the blog. I would suggest sales be restricted to garden-related items. Please comment.

2. Flyers
We need to have a flyer designed that we can hang up at various places. The content should include:

Our Name: Mason-Dixon Chapter, North American Rock Garden Society

Our meeting place:
Norrisville Library and Recreation Center
5340 Norrisville Road – MD Rte.23
Norrisville, MD 21162-8929

1/10 mile north of Harkins Road (MD 136)
1 3/4 miles south of the Pennsylvania/Maryland state line

Our web address: http://home.dejazzd.com/igrushow/

Our meeting dates: Usually the third Saturday of the month.

Our goal: The cultivation of small, alpine plants

Contact names: You can use my name and email address: jsking1@lycos.com and perhaps Dick's name.

Illustrations would be great!

Susan Stiles has volunteered to design a flyer for our plant sale! Three cheers, Susan!

3. County volunteers
We need someone from Harford County, Baltimore County and York County to compile a list of places to advertise our group. This could be a place to hang a flyer, a newspaper that we could put an ad in, etc.

4. Booth volunteers
Would anyone be willing to man a booth to hand out info or sell plants? We need to make a list of places, events, meetings where we can troll for new members.

Mystery gentian

Hi everyone,
I hope you can help with an ID problem. The gentian pictured is one that I grew from the NARGS seed exchange. I probably got the seed in 2007. It bloomed for the first time in fall 2009. Unfortunately I didn't keep a list of what I planted that year; better record keeping would have narrowed things down for me.
So, any idea which gentian it is?
Joan
